Challenge:
HSI’s main mission was to design and implement a new, customized tool to replace an outdated platform that users found unintuitive and difficult to use. This required managing large-scale data and presenting it in various formats across a suite of interconnected applications.
Process
My UX design process is centered around understanding user needs, and delivering intuitive, accessible experiences. I always make sure there is proper alignment between user needs and business goals. I focus on designing user-centered solutions by continuously listening to user feedback and building scalable design systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and clients, I aim to deliver intuitive experiences that not only solve problems but truly exceed expectations.
Given the dynamic nature of requirements, it is essential to thoroughly understand both business objectives and user needs, engage stakeholders with the right questions, and proactively identify effective solutions to existing challenges, while also contributing to the development of new features
Led interactive prototype sessions with users and iterated and refined designs based on valuable user feedback. Collaboration is key with the developers in every step to ensure smooth hand-off and successful implementation of the final design
Wireframes
After initial brainstorming sessions with stakeholders, business analysts, and developers, I began creating low-fidelity wireframes to quickly validate early feasibility and align on direction. I conducted rapid, iterative wireframing and prototyping sessions, continuously incorporating user feedback to refine design concepts and validate assumptions. This approach ensured the design stayed aligned with both user needs and business goals.I maintained close collaboration with users throughout, integrating their input to validate and adjust design assumptions.

Outcome
Following implementation we received feedback from field agents that the overall usability of the application was more smooth and intuitive. We delivered accessible designs that simplified complex workflows. Improvements in visual design led to higher user retention, task success rates, and satisfaction scores. Built and maintained design systems that promoted consistency, reduced design/development time, and scaled across products.
